  • Shared Vision Planning
     Imagine everyone involved in a water resources dispute using one model they all trusted to answer the questions they really wanted answered. This "how-to" guide shows how a hypothetical community (Fairweather) would use shared vision planning to develop a strategic water resources plan. The guide include links to a "template" model that may make it easier for you to build a shared vision model to evaluate alternative water management plans.
  • Unified Federal Policy for Ensuring a Watershed Approach to Federal Land and Resource Management
     February 22, 2000 Federal Register Notice of a broadly stated proposed policy for watershed management of Federal lands. The comment period ended April 24, 2000. Developed as part of the Clean Water Action Plan, the policy could directly affect up to 60% of U.S. watersheds. The Departments of Agriculture, Commerce, Defense, Energy, and Interior and the Environmental Protection Agency, Tennessee Valley Authority, and the Corps are slated to sign the policy.
