  • Riverine Emergency Management Manual
    USACE.    This manual describes the basic data requirements, theory of operation, and documents the variables used to code input data files.
  • National Riverine Data 
    Natural Resource Conservation Service.  Site identifies  broad spatial patterns in riverine wetland distribution.
  • Upper Mississippi River System Environmental Management Program
    USACE.  This site details the Federal-State partnership to restore and monitor the natural resources river system as described by the Upper Mississippi River Management Act of 1986 (P. L. 99-662).  "EMP consists of five elements: 1) Habitat Rehabilitation and Enhancement Projects (HREP), 2) Long Term Resource Monitoring, 3) Recreation Projects, 4) Economic Impacts of Recreation and 5) Navigation Monitoring. 

Coasts

  • Coastal Wetlands Planning, Protection & Restoration Act I
     US Forest Service. Since the passage of this law in 1990, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service has been working with coastal States to acquire, restore, manage, or enhance coastal wetlands through a matching grants program. To date, $62.6 million in grant monies have been awarded to 24 coastal States and one U.S. Territory and over 87,000 acres of coastal wetlands have been acquired, protected, or restored.
  • Coastal Wetlands Planning, Protection & Restoration Act II
    This site contains information on projects in Louisiana funded by the Coastal Wetlands Conservation Grant Program. Projects can be searched by title, basin, agency or planning years. Information provided includes maps, satellite imagery, progress, description and technical reports. Projects outside of Louisiana and general grant information can also be reached from this site.
  • Coastal America
    NOAA.  The Coastal America process joins the efforts of Federal agencies with those of State, local, and private alliances to collaboratively address environmental problems along our Nation's coasts. The Federal partners include those agencies with principle responsibilities for the stewardship of coastal resources, those with responsibilities for infrastructure development and maintenance, and those whose activities impact coastal environments.
  • North American Waterfowl Management Plan
    US Fish & Wildlife Service.  An international effort to restore wildfowl populations.  NAWMP is similar to Coastal America in that agencies use their individual authorities collaboratively to build projects that contribute to the NAWMP goals.  The NAWMP site reports dollars spent and acres of habitat secured.
