HIGHLIGHTS

• The Beautiful Southern Ride is a fund-raising event to benefit the Carbondale Boys and Girls Club.
• The ride is sponsored by the Rotary Club of Carbondale-Breakfast and the Carbondale Bicycle Club  
• Choose from a 15-mile family ride, a mid-length 30-mile ride, or a metric century.   
• Routes include some challenging hills as they travel through southern Illinois, south of Carbondale, passing lakes, wineries, and orchards and through the Shawnee National Forest and SIUC campus. Otherwise, the terrain is flat to rolling.  
• Entry fee:   $15 per person  or  $40 for 3 or more riders from the same household.
• All rides start and end at the Carbondale Middle School (1150 E. Grand Ave.). Restrooms and showers are available at the school.   
• Registration is from 7-9 a.m. Sags end at 4 p.m. Plan to start in time to finish by 4 p.m.  
• The routes are marked and cue sheets will be provided. The 30 mile and metric century will have rest stops with snacks, water, and Gatorade. All routes will be sagged.  
• Helmets are required to be worn by all riders. Cyclists must obey all traffic rules.
